revolution in cleaning

The first time when I saw the Energy Star in Grandma’s house, I was attracted by that. It is a cordless vacuum dealing with Dirt Devil. I looked at that for a long time. I like that so much that I have to introduce to everybody. There is no cord. So it can go to every corner cleaning the dirt like a robot maid. Normally the normal vacuums have strong noise that bothers the people in the house a lot. This one does not have so much noise. It will look for the dirt by itself. When the battery is over, it will come back to recharge for you.
That is a big revolution for housewives. Normally cleaning is so boring and taking your time. Really not so many people want to spend time on cleaning; also not so many people can live in the dirty place without cleaning it. I normally do cleaning once a week. But if you have some pets, the hair from the pets would spread everywhere at anytime.
We are waiting for more and more revolutions on vacuums. I hope that the ideal vacuum for me would be no cord, no noise. I also hope it would recognize what is dirt, because I do not want the vacuum hump my table like a dog.

the first trip to NYC (9)– getting beaten up by food

Posted on July 8th, 2008 in Arts & Humanities, Fashion/Style/Trends, General Living, New York, travel by jiajun925

We arrived in the hotel. But it was too early to check in.

So we tried to see something. I asked where the thing that honey wanted to see is. I asked 100 times, he answered what the thing is. Before we came, he thought he was rich like a millionaire and wanted to spend money in the city. So he checked the information about the place. I did not know why he did not know what the thing is.

After walking one block, he said he had to get something to drink. Since it was “get”, I thought he just wanted to go into the store and buy something and take out. So I said that I waited outside. He said he was not going to come out soon.

I realized that once honey became grumpy, everything would just turn crazy.

So we went into the store, it was a buffet, but it was $6.99 for one pound. Honey just got one drink.

the first trip to NYC (8)– walking in the street

Posted on July 8th, 2008 in Arts & Humanities, Fashion/Style/Trends, General Living, New York, travel by jiajun925

After we came out from the star bucks, we headed to the hotel. It was 7 blocks away.

It started raining. So it was hot and sticky. And the narrow streets were full of traffic and noises and people. Because of such environment, some got grumpy.

Near some construction, some homeless people were getting up or sleeping. It was raining. I do not know how they can survive in such street.

Even the buildings are trying to take advantage of the space on the street. We felt so suffocated in the street.

We realized that we are just not big city person. And definitely the city was over developed too much. There was no green in the street. It was just like some garbage city.
