garbage

when we threw away garbage in Japan, we always had to be very careful. In Japan, you have to separate everything, otherwise you will get into trouble. That is the good thing, because there is something that can be recycled. It is kind to our earth.

So what is the pain in the butt? The difficult thing is that you have to pay somebody to take that away if you want to throw away something big. Otherwise you are breaking the law.

So I knew there are some students who bring some garbage to the school garbage place in the mid-night.

Here, you can throw away anything as you want. The sweet thing is that if you collect some bottles and cans, you can bring those to the super market and get some money back. That is so nice.

Configure one

Before I began using computer, I knew nothing about computer. But I always tried to fix the problem by myself. The dangerous thing was that when I did something wrong, I messed up the files in my computer. The most dangerous that made me cry for a long time was the time that I tried to configure my computer while I was writing my master thesis. I did the wrong thing, in one second, all my text files in the desktop disappeared.
If you do not know about the computer so much, but you want to configure the computer, I recommend Configure 1 to you.
This software is especially helpful where sales teams need to quickly generate quotes. With Configure One sales configuration software, the sales team can plug in all of the client’s unique circumstances and get an accurate quote back.

conditional admission

Posted on May 15th, 2008 in Arts & Humanities, Computers & Internet, education by jiajun925

Normally when Chinese want to come to America for studying, you have to pass the TOEFL test. As a result, the TOEFL test is very popular in China, and the fees for applying for the test is becoming higher and higher. This year it is $140.  If you change that to Chinese RMB, it is more than some people’s salary if the person just graduated from University.

Normally, if you passed the TOEFL test, so it is possible for you to apply for all kinds of scholarship. That is why Chinese students are trying so hard to pass the test.

I feel that is unfair. That was the paper-based test.

And then IBT(internet-based), CBT(computer-based test) came out.

And then in some universities or college, conditional admission comes out. In such case, before you come to USA, you could not make sure what kind of scholarship you can get. At least, the first year, you have to pay a lot. If people can come with conditional admission, it means they have a little bit money. Maybe they do not care about the scholarship so much.

If you have money, you can go to USA without passing the TOEFL test.

If you do not have money, you have to make money and try hard to pass the TOEFL test before you can come.

Do you think every poor person can apply for the test and pass the test?

Confusing……..

take apart and then build up

Posted on May 15th, 2008 in Arts & Humanities, Computers & Internet, Fashion/Style/Trends by jiajun925

When I was a little kid, I liked to take apart something and then build it up. I always open the watches in our house. One time one watch did not run anymore, I opened it and found where the problem was and used a tiny metal to fix it. It worked.
The first time when my mom bought a sewing machine, I had to put all the parts together. It was a very cheap and old style sewing machine. It worked very well.
I think many kids like to take apart and then build up the thing. If you want, you can let your kids build a PC.
Easy AS My PC Kits include everything you need to build your own computer. They include plain English instructions with lots of illustrations. You can also get upgrade kits to increase your ram or replace your CPU. All you need is a screwdriver and they can help you save $100’s. You’ll be amazed at what you can build!
Also it is a nice way to let your kids enjoy their time.
