when I was in high school (14) — clockwise life

Posted on April 24th, 2008 in education, life by jiajun925

when I was in high school, I lived in the dormitory. It was far away from my home.

Normally I went back home go to get some rice once a month.

Everyday my life started from the turning-on of the lights by the school and blast of the horn at 6 o’clock.

There were 4 lessons in the morning, and 3 lessons in the afternoon. At night we had to study in the classroom until 10 o’clock.

I felt like that I was the second hand of the clock, once it was set up, it had to go and go every second for the whole day until it was broken.

The places we could go were classroom, dormitory and cafeteria. It was like a triangular.

when I was in high school (13) — theft

Posted on April 24th, 2008 in Society & Culture, education, life by jiajun925

when I was in high school, I lived in the dormitory. The dormitory was on the first floor. At that time, I heard about a lot of things, such as underwear theft, person hid under the bed, some girl’s hand was grab by somebody at night and so on. I suffered from a theft.

My bed was near the window. In the summer of south China, it was very hot. But there was no fans and no any air conditions.  We had to sleep with the window open.

One night, I woke up, and I saw there was stick on my head. I did not figure out what was happening. And I looked at the window, there was a black shadow there. I thought that was ghost. But it was  moving, and the stick was from there. I was scared to death. and I screamed out. So the 11 girls woke up. I told them I saw somebody outside the window. They did not see it. But they saw the stick was still there, so they believed me.

The next morning, some roommates went out to have a look of the window. They saw my clothes were left under the window.

I was thinking why the theft aimed at me. I hung up my bag and clothes in the bed. He must have come to look into the room at daytime. He hooked my clothes out. The next target was my bag. Then I woke up.

so natural

New York City is an international city in the world. Do you want to visit New York City? I recommend you to take some bus tours in New York City.
In other cities, many people feel that the city is not so international. Sometime, there is some prejudice in the city. For example, if you are a western person and you go to visit some city in Asia, the local people probably will stare at you and think why you are so white. Or some kids would follow you and point at your back, saying “look at his hair, it is bronzed”, or saying “look at his legs, there is so much hair on that”. When you heard that, nobody would feel comfortable.
You can take a private tour of New York. You will feel that it is so natural to be different from other people because everybody is different.

when I was in high school (12) — cold shower

Posted on April 24th, 2008 in Recreation & Sports, Society & Culture, education, life by jiajun925

when I was in high school, I lived in the dormitory.

It was normal to take one shower one week.  In the winter we had to get warm water from the cafeteria using bucket. Sometime I just used cold water to bath myself. Actually it did not help so much.

In south of China, normally we did not have heater in the building. So standing in the cold and dirty place, using cold water to bath the body, it was pretty unbelievable.

Normally, after I took such a shower, the skin looked like goose bumps because of the coldness.  Many times I just got really sick every week.

e-Prescribing

Last time when I went to the primary doctor, I brought a paper. In the paper I wrote down what was bothering me. Also I wrote down the time when that trouble started, what kind of medicine I was using.
You know, as a foreign person, sometime I could not figure out the name, because medical words are much more difficult to remember than other words. If I did not look at the dictionary, it is impossible to tell the doctor the exact thing.
After I showed the paper to my doctor, she had a look at that. And she praised what I did. She said that was organized so well that it helped her to understand my situation very well.
Do you want to help yourself? You can try e-Prescribing. VirMedice is a leading EMR software consultant. They help physicians convert from a paper records management system to the latest in EMR electronic health records keeping.
