All my books were gone. I was expecting the school could give me some books. The teacher told me “I told you not to stay in that room, now you see…”

After some days, the school asked everybody to donate money to the little girl for therapy. In the end, the school did not take any responsibility to make sure the 12 students in that room were fine or not about that fire.

Anyway that year, there was nobody who passed the test to go to university from that room.

That was the first time I had fire in my life. Fortunately nobody died in that fire. All my stuff were gone, my books, my bed, my suitcase, my blanket, everything.

Later other students told my the story. As normal that night everybody went to the classroom to do individual study. We were forced to do that. In the afternoon, from 6:00~10:00, the school would turn off the lights and lock the gate to the dormitory so that nobody could stay in the dormitory. But for some reason, there was a little girl stayed in the same room with us. She was a student in the middle school department. She was was some teacher’s niece. So she got the special right to stay in the dormitory.

As normal that night all the students except the little girl and her friend went to the classroom to do individual study. They lighted up candles for reading. After a little while, they fall asleep. When they woke up, the whole room was on fire. Her friend did not get hurt. The girl was burnt very badly.

when I was in high school, all the students from the countryside lived in the dormitory.

One night, I went to visit my brother in the city. The next morning, when I came back to school, I met two roommates in the road near the school. That was incredible, I thought. That day, on the dirty ground, it was full of burned stuff. The room I stayed in was burned.
