Citi posts loss, cuts 9,000 more jobs

Posted on April 19th, 2008 in Business & Economy, Society & Culture, job, life by jiajun925

Before we came back to America, we sent a little bit money. At that time, $1=106Yen. After we came back to USA, the rate kept changing.

From the rate we can know the economy in USA was going down and down. Yesterday I was shocked by the news in CNN. It was Citi posts loss, cuts 9,000 more jobs.

I was looking for job. And I sent many mails out. I did not get so much answers back. Even I got some back, most of which are saying “ I am sorry to inform you that your application is no longer being considered because of ….” First I thought the pace in this area was really slow.

People are losing job. I am looking for job, I did not lose, because I did not have one.

cool hat

Finally winter went away. In the north of America, especially the place we are living at, in New York, I feel there is no spring. I feel in one night suddenly summer attacks us without discussing with anybody. Yesterday I felt I was still wrapped with winter coat, muffler and warm winter hat, this noon, it was a good idea to go out have a walk and enjoy the sun. The sun shine is so strong that of course I have to change my hat. I want to get custom baseball caps. It looks so cool and fashionable. I can put on when I go to have a walk, or I can put on for shopping. It is right hat for this summer.

life keeps going on........

When I was a little, my mom beat up me a lot. Even I hated that a lot and tried to run away from that place, I could not. I had to keep my life going on.

Actually I ran out from that home for one time, but after I worked hard for that family for one week, they sent me back to my hometown. Nobody could help to change my situation.

My second brother ran out of the house for many times, he said he would never go back to that place anymore. He would not want to tell anybody where he came from even sometime he was put into jail.

I wondered a lot about life. Life has to keep going on no matter what happens.

to move on

Posted on April 19th, 2008 in Business & Economy by jiajun925

Normally to get a loan is not so easy. The company will check all of your financial information and situation. They want to know if you could pay it back in time after you applied the loan. Some time when you apply a loan, it does not mean you would get it. Every loan company has their own principle to decide to approve the application or not. You know, not everybody has a good credit to apply the loans. In such time, maybe you can apply for Bad Credit Auto Loans to move on. The good point of this is some kind of Auto Loans. You can apply that on line.

languages...........

Because of so many nationalities, every nationality has their own language.

When I was in high school, I rarely understood what the teacher of politics subject was talking about. He was not a minority. He was not from a far away place. The high school was in Loudi(娄底) city. He was from Shuangfeng(双峰) county. Now Shuangfeng(双峰) county is under Loudi(娄底) city. When you look the distance between that, it is 53.9km.

When I was in my home town, old people always told me,十里不同音 -- people will speak different languages when you go 5km far away.

Some days ago, I called a university in Fujian. Of course I spoke standard Chinese. But the person over the phone could not speak standard Chinese. He could understand me. But I could not get the point of what he was talking about. It sounded that I called the wrong number. So I asked him to give me right number. I just heard some ngya~nya~nay~. I got nothing. I still did not get the right number.

Gulf oysters

Posted on April 19th, 2008 in Business & Economy, Entertainment, Society & Culture, Uncategorized, life, travel by jiajun925

I was a naughty girl, sometime I wanted to do incredible thing. I liked playing with fishes. One time I went to bathing in the sea. It was a very hot summer. I saw some oysters. So I brought back home. I wanted feed them at home. I put them in the big bottle, and put some water and sand in that. I thought, ok, baby, you will not forget your home and you will not miss your home now. Every morning I talked to my oysters “coming out of your shell, baby….let us have some fun.”
The first morning they were still alive. I kept talking to them. The water was becoming less because it was so hot at that time. After 3 days, when I looked at them, there was strong stinky smell in the bottle. So I eat that with soy source because I always heard about that we can eat dead fish. So you guess, what happened later? That night I was just sitting on toilet for the whole night. You know what happed to me.
What happened to the oysters? Were they not fishes? I was looking for information about oysters. Then Gulf oysters told me there were Two types of Vibrio vulnificus infections can occur as a result of an at-risk individual consuming a raw oyster. These include:
Gastroenteritis ? Occurs after ingestion of oysters containing Vibrio vulnificus. Non at-risk patients with gastroenteritis have a relatively mild illness consisting of vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal cramps and rarely require hospitalization.
Primary septicemia ? Occurs after oysters containing Vibrio vulnificus are consumed and the bacteria invade the bloodstream via the digestive tract. The illness is characterized by fever and chills, and is usually accompanied by nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. A sharp drop in blood pressure commonly occurs, with possible outcomes of intractable shock and possibly death. The majority of patients also develop painful skin lesions. The skin initially appears red. Blisters develop quickly and erode into necrotic ulcers.
My god, why I did not have a look of Gulf oysters early?
