I was a fan of collecting stamps.
I began collecting stamps when I was in Beijing. At that time, because our university were full of foreign students, the postage business was very good. There was a small store in the campus that sold all kinds of stamps. Normally they even had some stamps that you could not see in the post office. The store was very popular. The printing of the stamps was so beautiful that the store attracted many students to buy stamps. It was not only a good way to know Chinese culture, but also it is a way to enjoy arts. When the family got their package from China, they always felt so happy. For stamps collecting fans, everybody went to that store every week to check if there were stamps with new design.
While I was in Beijing, I had collected a lot of stamps. It was a very nice memory.
Recently, the world becomes more and more international. It is so often for us of sending package to your family or your friends in different country. Especially when holidays come, sometime we worry about there are so many package to sent out. It is a little bit boring to paste stamps to every packages or greeting cards one by one. In such time, online stamps would help you a lot. You will find different LabelWriters available and Also you will feel so convenient when you use the Dymo LabelWriter, It makes our life much easier.

when I was a kid — grandmother

Posted on March 26th, 2008 in life, travel by jiajun925

when I was a kid, Maybe it was the time when I was four or five years old.

When i was younger than 4 or 5 years old, my parents had to go to production team to work for communist party. At that time, the country owned the field. The villagers worked for the communist party and eat there. The children were left at home. If there were grandmother of grandfather who could not work anymore, it was their duty to take care of their grand children.

I was a girl. I was supposed to be a boy. But no way I could change that. when my parents went to work in the field,  my grandmother would take care of me.

It is said that she put me in the cave under the fireplace to play with the firewood ash. And grandmother put a wooden bench on the top of the cave and sit on that in case I crawled out.

My mom told me that for many times.
